? Do you want advice on building your management committee
? Are you looking for ways to connect with your local community
The Lions Clubs in Kent, Surrey and Sussex (Lions District 105SE) would like your group to take part in ‘Adopt a Youth Club’. By working together for one year we will help you and your youth group raise money and have the experience of working with a voluntary service club which operates in 207 countries around the world.
Some of the benefits other youth groups have seen through ‘Adopt a Youth Club’:
Expert help in a variety of professional and functional areas
The chance to attend or volunteer at major functions
Provision of equipment and uniforms
Extra voluntary help at your youth clubs
Wider networking in the community
Working and volunteering with older generations
Better press coverage of your activities
Help in recruiting volunteers
This programme works because Lions Clubs have a lot to offer in terms of administrative advice, legal and financial. Lions also have a lot of experience in raising funds and awareness for the needs of groups.
If you would like to know more or establish contact with your local Lions Club and need support please contact Chris Cook, Club Support and Business Development Officer firstname.lastname@example.org
The Adastra Summer Trail is coming to Hassocks in the next few weeks! The trail, which has been developed by the young people attending Hassocks Youth Hangout, is a series of boxes hidden across Adastra Park. Families follow clues and a map to find boxes hidden at different areas across the park. Each box contains a small hands-on science activity to do and a stamp to mark your map.
