Sussex Clubs for Young People is a leading provider of youth clubs and activities across
East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove. Supporting a membership of over 140 youth
clubs and organisations and directly delivering youth activities each week we have an impact
on the lives of over 10,000 young people every week.
We are looking for a Contract Administrator to help our Youth Services Development Officer
manage our growing relationships with the Police, NHS, local authorities, parish councils,
management committees and housing associations to monitor financial performance,
compliance with project outcomes and outputs and to ensure that our customers receive a
consistently high standard of service.
Experience and an understanding of the voluntary sector and youth clubs would be an
advantage but is not essential as we can provide training and support for the right candidate.
This role which can be worked flexibly during term-time for around 15 hours a week (initially
fixed term for one year) for £22k per year (pro-rata) able to self-motivate themselves to
reach out to operational managers, clients, and stakeholders.

- Job Purpose and Principal Activities
1.1 The role exists to support the Youth Services Development Officer in ensuring that the
operational team provide a consistent service to our client organisations which may include
but is not limited to; civil and ecclesiastical parishes, housing associations, trusts and
management committees. A service of positive informal, educational, and recreational
activities for young people that are safe, fun, welcoming and engaging.
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 To work under the direction of the Youth Services Development Officer taking
responsibility for your work with members, stakeholders, partners, and clients ensuring the
provision of an effective and high-quality service.
2.2 To monitor contractual performance through a range of systems including spreadsheets,
timesheet, and expense entries, and provide financial and statistical reporting to
operational and business managers as well as to clients.
2.3 To monitor reporting to clients and any contractual issues arising.
2.4 To support the preparation of quotes or estimates for new and or revised projects.
2.5 To administer and manage financial records, invoices, credits, and final accounts as per

3.1 Relevant experience working in administration.
3.2 Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, partners,
stakeholders, and clients with attention to detail, to understand requirements and to convey
messages in a clear and understandable way.
3.3 Excellent time management skills.
3.4 Significant competency using accounting software and MS Office.
3.5 Relevant experience in an administration or financial role.
