Those who have undertaken the programme will be able to deliver the Working Together to Safeguard Children Single Agency Training (Voluntary & Community Sector).

The aims of the session for participants are:

• To identify your responsibility to safeguarding in relation to your role

• To identify the different types of abuse, what they could look like and how they might present to you

• To explore policies and procedures and the risk involved in safeguarding children and young people

• To identify the referral process and explore thresholds, consent and information sharing

• To identify the appropriate language to use when a child makes a disclosure

• To be more informed about taking immediate action and the child protection conference process

• To look at signs of safety and how this can be applied to your role

• Identify how your role fits into a multi-agency safeguarding context

If you would like to send your staff who are able to train others please let Chris Cook know.
