Our programme for Young Leaders seeks to improve the skills of volunteers who have grown in your club setting.
Working with experienced tutors in a residential experience your young people aged 14+ can take part in a moderated training programme with certificates issued by UK Youth. Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications can be achieved to improve the understanding of your Young Leaders and to help them network with others facing similar challenges in youth clubs across Sussex.
This programme is ideal for those with sufficient independence and willingness to stretch themselves further. We recommend sending your Young Leaders on their own or in groups of no more than three so that they get the best experience of challenging themselves and learning more from others.
Young Leaders can take it to the next level by completing a UK Youth Achievement Award or a Duke of Cornwall Community Safety Award.
